These are the little tags I did for a baby shower tea party! The hostess is making her own bags of loose tea and will attach these tags to each one as shower favours for all the guests! What a cute idea!

I'm very happy with how this turned out, considering it's the first banner I've ever made! I've had all the tools to make one for awhile, but never had a purpose! This is the banner for a vintage tea party baby shower. The gorgeous Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper, available during Sale-a-bration, is perfect for a tea party!
And it just so happens that the mom-to-be loves the colour coral!! perfect!
So here's a bunch of photos showing the detail I put into it, I made each pennant unique with different papers, embellishments and dies/punches.

Baby Girl Card - with Scrabble Tiles

I'm working on an order for baby shower decorations right now, and I made this cute card to include in the package for her to give to the mom-to-be. I'm loving anything with Scrabble tiles right now, so had to include them on this card. I bought a bag of vintage tiles from Etsy before Christmas, they sure come in handy for lots of projects. So I'm working on a Baby Shower pennant banner, as well as Thank You gift tags for the favours. I'll show those projects soon!

Kids Valentine Decorations

While I was home, I helped my Aunt teach the youth kids at our church how to make some fun Valentines Decorations. I saw this idea on Pinterest... super easy and fun for kids! Just cut a bunch of 4-5 inch long strips of paper 1.5" wide, staple the ends together then fold them over to create a heart shape, then staple more pieces and fold over the same. You will end up with a garland of adorable connected hearts!

'Create' Decor Elements frame

I made this frame decor for my mom's scrap room this Christmas. I recently gave it to her while on my 3 week trip home. (yes I know I haven't posted for a long time!!! ) I'm flying back to Calgary tomorrow! It's been a great 3 weeks here with my family!

I used the Stampin' Up! Decor Elements 'Create' and applied it to the glass on the frame, then created a background with the Everyday Enchantment DSP for inside the frame.

Well, gotta get packing!

Baby Card - with Scrabble tiles!

With so many people in my life having babies right now, or people ordering them, I've got alot of baby cards on the go! Here's one using the beautiful Everyday Enchantment DSP. These colours are so pretty together!! Base of the card is Calypso Coral, one of the current In Colours. Other colours include, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait and Soft Suede (for sponging) Also added some Basic Pearls in the flowers, and the new 1/8" Organdy Ribbon in Calypso Coral (available soon for Sale-a-bration!) The vintage Scrabble tiles were purchased on Etsy.

Baby Sock Sushi - Shower Gift

This was a fun idea I saw on Etsy, and thought I would make my own version for a Baby Shower gift for my co-worker Hayami. The sushi rolls and nigiri are made from rolled up baby socks and held together with Basic Black Cardstock. The wasabi and pickled ginger are baby washcloths. And the traditional grass garnish is made from Wild Wasabi cardstock which I cut grass blades on one side then ran it through the Crimper. All this assembled in a takeout box. So cute!

The rest of her gift includes tons of clothes, etc...and that adorable hat I made awhile back, check it out if you missed it. Also a 'Miso Cute' onesie from Etsy to go with her 'sushi'.

Vintage Scrabble Tile Frame

This is a Christmas gift for my Gran and Gramps. They love playing Scrabble, and always had a 4pm date everyday to play a game. So sweet! Scrabble tiles are very trendy these days, so I got my hands on some vintage tiles from Etsy, and created this framed art for them. Snowman Card w/ Faux Mother of Pearl

I made these cards for my co-workers, aren't they cute!? I used the adorable snowman from Snow Much Fun stamp set, and did a little colouring with my Stampin' Write Markers. The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler, embossed with the Northern Flurry embossing folder. The strip is Baja Breeze cardstock punched with the Pinking hearts border punch.

I did the Faux Mother of Pearl technique on the snowman. This involves some scrunched up saran wrap dipped in some Frost White Shimmer Paint and dabbed onto the image...then sponge a little Baja Breeze ink afterwards...looks amazing in person, kind of hard to catch it in a photo....

I also had to add my best friend, Dazzling Details! Gotta love glitter!

Masculine Christmas Cards

The Frostwood Lodge Designer Series paper is a great way to turn a Christmas card into a more manly one. My boyfriend asked for me to make a few for his bosses at work, so I whipped these up in no time! I was waiting for a chance to use my new paper! LOL

Not only do they have 'lumberjack' plaids but also wood grain papers! Love it! I paired this paper with the Lovely As A Tree stamp set. One of my faves! Then used some Log Cabin Smooch Spritz! Perfect name for this card! The base of the card is Crumb Cake, which pairs perfectly with the Crumb Cake Envelopes, which I also stamped a pine tree image on.

Oh and don't forget the 'manly' Hemp twine wrapped around the card as well!

Altered Christmas Decor

I made this for my friend's Christmas gift! I found the wooden 'Noel' sign at Home Sense and added my special Stampin' Up! touch to it!

In the 'O' I cut out the large scallop circle on the Big Shot with some Letters To Santa DSP, then the large circle out of the Wood Sheets. I stamped the cute snowman from the stamp set Snow Much Fun, and coloured him in with some Stampin' Write markers. The 'snow' is some Basic Pearls.

On the 'L' I added a bow with Old Olive Striped Grosgrain ribbon, and a little Vintage Tag with 'merry' stamped on it from Tiny Tags set. I love it, now I have to make one for myself!

Chocolate Dipped Candy Canes

I made up these little Christmas treats for my family back home in Ontario. I dipped them in milk and white chocolate and then sprinkles! I used Stampin' Up! cello bags to wrap them. The tops are the 3"x5" bags, and the bottom is a 1"x8" bag cut in half. Then I tied them together with some Pear Pizzazz or Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon.

There's lots of wonderful uses for these cello bags!

Ornaments!

Isn't Stampin' Up! so amazing with their coordination of products?! Love how this Letters To Santa Designer Series Paper, matches perfectly with the Merry & Type stamp set!

I used 2 techniques on this card...Faux metal and Paper Piecing. I stamped the ornament image onto 3 different papers, then cut them out and glued them onto the stamped image on the basic grey cardstock.

I did the sentiment in the faux metal.

This involves 3 layers of gold embossing then inking your stamp with Versa Mark and stamping it into the hot embossed paper. Then I punched it out with the Word Window punch.
Lots of fun!

Pewter Embossed Doily

I just love this Hello Doily background stamp! I embossed the entire image with the new Pewter embossing powder, then added some Basic Pearls and an Antique Brad in the middle. The cardstock is Basic Grey. I decided to keep it like it is, with out a sentiment. There's just so much beauty to clutter it with more stuff...so I put the sentiment inside the card. I'm proud to say my family Christmas cards went in the mail today! So much better than a couple years ago when I mailed them after the 25th....LOL.

Hello, Doily Embossed Christmas card

How beautiful is this background stamp...Hello, Doily! I embossed these with Gold embossing powder onto Chocolate Chip cardstock and added a Antique Brad in the middle. The sentiment is from Merry & Type, and the ribbon is from the Holiday Mini Catalogue...Early Espresso Quilted Satin ribbon. I also used the Colour Spritzer tool with Early Espresso Marker and added some specks in the background.

Well, Christmas is only 11 days away, and still so much to do! I'm working on alot of gifts and goodies right now, so I'll share them soon with you all! Here's a few photos I took on a walk in the snow the other day....

This card is definitely bling-tastic!

I wanted to crack open my new Pewter Embossing Powder, and thought it would look nice on Basic Grey cardstock, so I stamped Versa Mark onto my card and powdered/heat tooled it with the beautiful ornament stamp from the Merry & Type stamp set. The sentiment is also from this set, which I stamped with just plan Versa Mark. The bling continues with some Basic Rhinestones and Silver Glimmer paper, which I punched with the Pinking Heart Border punch.

My sincere apologies for not posting for over a week!! This time of year is super crazy busy at work, and it really leaves me very little spare time to create. Some days I just want to relax and not think about paper and stamps...LOL Anyways...here's a card from last month's Stamp Club at Allison's. I think it's super cute, so I had to share! The cute reindeer is made from the Stocking Punch and Snowflake punch for the antlers. Gotta love the dainty Mini Jingle bell on his collar!

I'm working on a sample right now for a co-workers baby shower invitation. This is what I came up with. I was so happy she asked me to make her invites and I couldn't wait to order some baby stamps! This cute little onesie is from the Baby Tees Jumbo Roller stamp. I've never been into the roller stamps in the past, but I'm starting to really like them! Especially this one, there are 5 different onesies on this wheel, perfect for cutting out! My friend is having a baby girl, so she wanted lots of Pink! She loved the colour combo I chose, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron.

I hung the little onesie on some linen thread with a cute little Mini Clothespin (only $3.50 for 24) and created a little pennant and tiny tag with 'baby' from the Tiny Tags stamp set.

Vintage Monogram Decor

This is the 2nd part of my gift for my friend Allison, check yesterday's post if you missed the first monogram gift. This is a pretty large wooden 'A' I found a Winners. It's painted black and has sanded edges, so I thought I would add my personal touch by gluing the First Edition DSP on the front.Then to give it a vintage look I roughed up the edges, sponged with Soft Suede ink, and spritzed some Log Cabin Smooch Spritz.

I then made a flower with the Timeless Portrait Designer Fabric and Paper by cutting it out with the Fun Flowers Die on the Big Shot. I used one of the Beveled Windowpanes and stamped the 'love life, live life' sentiment from the You're A Gem stamp set to go behind it. Other embellies include Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon, Victoria Crochet Trim, Raven Lace Trim, Trinket Crowns, Linen Thread and some black feathers.

Now I need to make myself one of these!

Spice Cake Monogram Decor

So as you probably noticed, I am a huge fan of making monogrammed decor... so here's part 1 of the birthday gift I made for my friend Allison. She LOVES the Spice Cake line, so I used the Designer series paper, Fabric and Button! This is a wooden 'A' you can find at any craft store. I traced it onto the designer paper then cut it out and glued it onto the wood, did a little sponging around the edges too. The little 'friends' tag is from Tiny Tags stamp set and punched out with the Jewlery Tag punch, pinned on with a Vintage Trinket safety pin.

Spice Cake Birthday Card

This is a birthday card for my friend Allison. We finally got together yesterday for her birthday, and enjoyed a nice afternoon having lunch and shopping! I couldn't wait to give her gift to her! I will show part one of it tomorrow...it ties into this card with the Spice Cake Designer Paper.
The stamp is from Happiest Birthday Wishes (a hostess set) My new fave tool is the Colour Spritzer if you look closely you can see little Soft Suede speckles on the sentiment. This tool is amazing!

Altered Compostion Book - Vintage Snowman

I'm in the process of making a bunch of altered notebooks for Christmas gifts, so I thought I'd share this one with you all! I'm really loving this Snow Much Fun stamp set! Here I stamped the image onto Crumb Cake cardstock, then highlighted areas with the white gel pen, and added some Basic Pearls for his buttons. The background paper is from Letters To Santa DSP, as well as the scallop circle behind the snowman. I embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder on the Big Shot and then used the Sanding blocks to rough it up a bit. Also added some Chantilly Crochet Trim too!

We got a bit of snow today, not too much yet! Only a matter of time!! I just realized this is the start of my 5th winter in Calgary! Can't believe I've made it this long! LOL

Here's another card using the Snow Much Fun stamp set. I like this guy with the little birds, so cute! The base of the card is Early Espresso, with 2 strips of Letters To Santa DSP. The extra little details include Mica Flakes, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, and the adorable Mini Jingle Bells! And don't forget Dazzling Details, I'm seriously obsessed with this! Just got 2 more bottles, incase they aren't coming back after the Holiday Mini is done!

Snow Much Fun!

This was my first chance to break into my new stamp set called Snow Much Fun, and I adore this set! I've always had a thing for snowmen, probably cause my mom covered the house with them in the winter! I love these images because they can be used with bright colours, or neutrals for a more vintage country feel.
I had to use one of my new fave In colours, Pool Party. Even though the name isn't very wintery, it has a cool icy look to it, which matches nicely with the Silver Glimmer Paper. I embossed the base of the card with the new Snow Burst embossing folder from the Holiday Mini Catalogue.

Colour in the stamped image with some Stampin' Write Markers, add a little sparkle with Dazzling Details, and you got a quick and simple Christmas card ready to go!

Wedding Embroidery Frame

This is an embroidery frame I did with my cousin Bethany's wedding photo. I love this photo of their names on the marquis! I tried to tie in her wedding colour...Hot Pink, as well as some glitz and glam with the Basic Rhinestones and Silver Glimmer Paper. She had THE best shoes ever, sparkly pink high heels!

The base is from the Timeless Portrait Designer Fabric, and ribbon is Melon Mambo Polka Dot scallop.

I've been accomplishing alot of gift items...so much to share, but have to wait til I give them away, so not to spoil the surprise! Stay tuned!

Baby Hat with Flirtatious Designer Fabric

I designed this adorable baby hat for a co-worker who's expecting a baby girl this February. I'm so excited she's asked me to make her baby shower invitations too! I bought the brown crochet hat from a local company called Little Hoot, hopefully sometime I'll learn how to crochet a hat! So far I've given up on a scarf, it's now a braclet..LOL
The flower is made up of layers of the Flirtatious Designer Fabric cut with the Fun Flowers Die on the Big Shot, a little crochet flower and 2 buttons.

I also strung through some Pretty in Pink Polka dot scallop ribbon around the crown of the hat.

Curious George was happy enough to model my hat for you all! Enjoy!

Spice Cake Cookie Cutter ornament

Happy Friday!
Well even though we got our first snowfall here in Calgary this morning, I'm still not ready for winter. So I made this fall inspired cookie cutter ornament to make myself feel better. LOL
This matches with the Spice Cake Fabric Wreath I made last week. If you didn't see that post, click HERE.

I used alot of Crystal Effects to adhere the metal cookie cutter to the Spice Cake DSP, then spread it all over to create a nice shine. You have to let this dry for 24 hrs!! I added some ripped pieces of Designer Fabric on the Linen Thread, and embellished with a Big Button in Pool Party, and a cute little tag pinned with a Vintage Trinket safety pin. The 'hand crafted' sentiment is from Tiny Tags stamp set.

I just realized I had a bunch of projects to share from a recent class and Stamp Club I attended this past month, so I thought I would share!

Here's the 3 projects we did at Allison's Stamp Club this past month....
Our technique was Faux Mother of Pearl. It's a super simple way to add some beautiful detail to any project.
I will probably do a tutorial on it later on...

All 3 projects featured the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper, and Fabric....so pretty!

I also have 3 more cards to share from an Embossing class I took last week....First card is a replica of the christmas one I just showed you, but different colours and the Faux Metal technique.

I just love the look of this Faux metal.....so cool!

Next was the Cracked Glass technique....very neat!

And the last is the Double Embossing Technique....

I really like the look of this one!

Here's some more treats for you! Happy Halloween!
These cute little goodie bags are made with the 1"x8" cello bags from Stampin' Up! available in the Holiday Mini catty. Don't worry if you missed them for Halloween, these will come in handy for Christmas too!
The candy corn topper was made by gluing strips of paper (Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White) then punching with the Petite Pennant Punch! So cute and easy! (just make sure you use thinner strips so it doesn't create 3 layers of paper...you will break your punch trying to get through that many layers!

I punched out the Basic Black background with the Decorative Label Punch, did some faux stitching with the White gel pen, and added a little sparkle with the new Dazzling Details...my new fave embellie!

The next 2 candy bag toppers are images from the adorable Out on a Limb stamp set...I just love the witch, isn't she cute!

I coloured her in with the Stampin' Write Markers, added some Silver Glass Glitter for some bling and the same punched background with Pumpkin Pie cardstock. Next up is the little owl out on a limb...

I added some Dazzling Details to the moon and made some twinkling stars too!

Hope you all had a safe and happy Halloween!!! Here's a fun video I took on Saturday of a Thriller Flash Mob that happened at a local mall here in Calgary. It was for Thrill the World...an annual event held across the world simultaneously ...very cool!!! Check it out!

Oh and here is a guy I met there who looked fantastic as the Mad Hatter....could have sworn it was Johnny Depp!!! I wish! LOL

Spice Cake Fabric Wreath - with cookie cutter ornaments!

I'm in love with the Spice Cake line from Stampin' Up!....I admit it took me awhile to buy the products, but I'm so glad I did! Aren't these colours amazing together...Pool Party, Soft Suede and More Mustard. Last year I made cookie cutter ornaments for Christmas, but I just found these leaf shaped ones and thought I should make some with the Spice Cake DSP and pair it with the matching Designer Fabric and these HUGE buttons!

So for this wreath, I used a plain wooden embroidery hoop and tied ripped pieces of the Spice Cake Designer Fabric alternating with the 3 different designs.

For the Leaf cookie cutters, I traced out the shape onto the paper, cut it out, then used Crystal Effects to glue the cutter onto the paper, I also filled in the whole leaf with it to give it a nice shine. I then strung them up using Linen Thread.

Thank You Cards

Here's the finished product of the Thank You Cards I had to do for a customer. This is a retired hostess stamp set, Birthday Bakery. I thought it fit perfectly for the purpose of these cards. I used a new fave colour combo, Basic Grey and Calypso Coral, as well as Pool Party. I coloured in the little baked goods with the coordinating Stampin' Write markers and added a bit of Dazzling Details for some bling! The sentiment is from Curly Cute. I even added a cute cupcake on the envelopes too!

Hope she enjoys them!

I had high hopes this week to get alot of projects done, but I came down with a cold on Thursday and am still getting over it...but feel well enough to get my thank you cards made for a customer. So I'm in progress right now....thought I'd share a pic of my desk.

The Dazzling Details are drying right now, so I'm gonna hop in the shower and get dressed. I know it's almost 5pm, don't judge me! I'm sick! LOL

What a busy week! Work has been insanely busy...I'm not left with much time to craft when I get home! I've got so many projects on the go too! Petite Christmas Banner card

I originally made this cute little banner to go on my Christmas Tree decor I posted yesterday, but thought it was too busy for it. So I made a card with it instead...I've used some of the Letters to Santa DSP, Designer buttons, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Basic Pearls and the Petite Pennants Punch to make the little banner. The base of the card is Crumb Cake with some trees stamped in Always Artichoke and Versa Mark from the Lovely As A Tree stamp set. I also added a little sparkle on the trees with the new Dazzling Details glitter glue! It's so fun!

Today is my parents 33 year Anniversary! Congrats! Love you both!

Christmas Tree Decor w/ Letters to Santa DSP

Here's my second Christmas Tree Decoration...if you missed my first one, it's yesterday's post!

I punched out tons of ovals with the Large Oval Punch in First Edition and Letters to Santa DSP, then glued them onto a styrofoam cone. Curled them and sponged them a bit.

Topped it with a star out of Silver Glimmer Paper...and you got an easy home decor piece, great for a gift too! Here's both of the trees I made together...i think they are pretty darn precious!

Christmas Tree Decor....Stampin' Up! style

I'm getting in the Christmas mood...and it's not even Halloween yet!

But I'm trying to get things done earlier this year...pff...who am I kidding..LOL

My goal this season is to make alot of 3D items...home decor especially. Here's my first attempt at a Christmas Tree Decoration. I started with a styrofoam cone base, then scrunched Seam Binding Ribbon around it with Sticky Strip. The ribbons are in Always Artichoke and Pear Pizzazz colours. The ornaments are Cherry Cobbler Designer buttons, Basic Rhinestones and Pearls, and a new fave....Mini Jingle Bells!!

For the top of the tree I put a big button and then stuck 2 pins in the button holes with Stars cut on the Big Shot Stars #2 die glued to them. I cut the stars from the new Silver Glimmer Paper from the Holiday Mini Catty. I love how they twinkle!

What do you think? looks cute with the Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper doesn't it? Well check back tomorrow for another Christmas Tree using that paper!

Mica Flakes and Glimmer Paper!

This is my first time using my new Mica Flakes from the Holiday Mini catalogue, and I am in love with them! Can't believe what a great deal these are! Only $4.50 for a HUGE container! I was expecting something like the regular size for the Glass Glitter. Here's a photo to show you the difference!

And a little goes a long way! This will last me forever!

I also used the new Silver Glimmer Paper for the first time...it's so sparkly! I'm so happy they came out with another colour, i loved the red one! Hopefully next year they will have more colours!

So to make this little shaker card, I used the Treat Cups with some Mica Flakes inside.

Thanks to Rita for letting me know this Sweet Snowglobe isn't retired, like I previously thought...LOL I could have sworn I saw it in the new catalogue, but didn't see it in the A la Carte section, or the Christmas section...it is actually on page 61 in the treat cup coordinating stamp section!

Happy Thanksgiving!! - Vintage French Foliage

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians!

I couldn't wait to use my French Foliage stamp set again...I think it's been a year since I have. It's so beautifully vintage....my cup of tea! I paired it with some First Edition Designer paper, More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede Cardstocks. I used 3 different border punches to create the layered look...Scallop Trim, Scallop Edge, & Pinking Hearts...

I stamped the leaf images from French Foliage onto the First Edition DSP then cut them out and sponged a little Soft Suede ink on the edges. The sentiment is from Thankful For. Also added a little saftey pin from the Vintage Trinkets embellies and a snippet of Victoria Crochet Trim.

I'm going to give this to my boyfriends sister today, we are having a turkey dinner tonight at her place!

Timeless Portrait Monogram Decor

Monogram Decor is a big trend right now, and I've been wanting to make some for awhile... But as much as I'd love this for myself, it's actually for my mom! Happy Birthday!! Sorry for spoiling it for you, but since I'm so bad at mailing things on time, figured I give you a peek!

I used Timeless Portrait DSP to cover the 'M' , as well as First Edition DSP for the flower...cut on the Big Shot with the Fun Flowers die. Also assorted ribbons, Trinket Keys, designer button, Baker's Twine and some sponging with Basic Black ink.

I just got the new Out on a Limb stamp set, and it's so adorable! Lots of fun stamps to create so many different scenarios! Here I used the 'limb' vertical to make a spooky forest.

I tied a 'boo' banner to the trees with some Early Espresso Bakers Twine. Also added some twinkling stars with some Glass Glitter.

It's been feeling like Fall this week here in Calgary...but I'm wishing I was back home in Ontario with their high 20's weather! One more day of work for me, then a 3 day weekend! yipee!

It's my first Halloween Card of the season! I dug into my new pack of Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper! I'm loving the colour combo, not your typical orange and black. There's Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Basic Black and Basic Grey.

Edmonton Regionals - Part 1

I attended my first Stampin' Up! event this past weekend in Edmonton...It was a great experience! I've got TONS of photos to share, so I'll break it up in a few segments. Today I'll share photos of our group, and the convention centre and make n'takes. The next few days I'll share my swaps and other demos/samples available for us to see.

Coffee cups filled with Starbucks Via, mints, chocolate, pen, pad of paper...with an adorable sleeve made from the new Spice Cake Designer Fabric and matching Jumbo Buttons! So freakin' cute! Those sleeves were made by her friend Shannon, go check out her Etsy!!

So after we settled in to our hotel rooms, Allison had us help her finish her swaps...LOL I didn't mind, except when we had to glue so many teeny tiny pieces using tweezers...but Amy was happy to take over gluing all the 'balls' on the holly leaves! haha

Edmonton Regional Swap #2

So I had enough time before I left yesterday to whip up another dozen of a different design swap. I chose a Christmas one... I'm in love with the new Letters To Santa Designer series Paper, as well as the Merry & Type stamp set.

I love how the paper has a vintage feel to it, so I paired that with some sponging on the base embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Folder.
After so much sponging...my fingers look like this...

I added a little bling with Basic Rhinestones too!

Can't wait to see what swaps I get back! I'll be sure to share them with you all! Have a nice weekend!

Edmonton Regional Swaps

Here is my swap for Regionals...I had such a hard time figuring out what to do, my creative juices haven't had much time to flow in the last few weeks. Coming back from vacation and working 9 days straight, doesn't leave you much time to stamp! LOL But I decided to use the gorgeous Timeless Portrait DSP and do a little embossing with the new Houndstooth Embossing Folder. The base of the card is one of the new In Colours, Island Indigo...don't you just love it paired with Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black?! I do!

Getting Ready for Edmonton Regionals!!

Well, like usual, I leave everything to the last minute! I'm working on swaps for the Edmonton Stampin' Up! Regionals this Saturday. We leave tomorrow night....6 of us! It should be a fun girls weekend! This will be my first Stampin' Up! Event...so I'm excited to see what happens! Well back to work...I think I'm doing 2 different cards, one Christmas and one Friend card (supplies shown in photo)

Beau Chateau Embroidery Frame Art

I had such a great response to my first embroidery frame, I couldn't wait to do another one! When I received the new Beau Chateau Designer Fabric and Paper, I knew it would make a beautiful framed art. This is a friendship frame of me and my bestie Sarah. Usually I make these frames then give them away as gifts, but this time it's for ME!

Just for fun, I had ordered the Beau Chateau Side Notes, only because a customer of mine ordered them, and I guess I never really noticed them before in the catty...so I thought I'd try them out. These are a great deal! Only $7.50 for a pack of 24 die cuts, perfect for scrapbooking! All other Embellishments include various buttons, Vintage Flower Adornments, Chantilly Crochet Lace, and the new Mini Clothes Pins!! So cute!

The cute little banner is made with the new Petite Pennant Punch! Definitely a must-have for any project! I punched little flowers with the Boho Blossoms punch and added some Basic Pearls.

Hello everyone! Happy Labour Day! Can't believe summer is over already, well here's hoping for an Indian summer here in Calgary!

I wanted to share a few photos of my cousin's daughter Indira opening her gifts from me. If you remember my post awhile back of my Flirtatious Suite Frame (click on the link to refresh your memory) I gave the gift to her for her 1st birthday while I was visiting family in Ontario a few weeks ago. I loved her reaction to the frame, she loved it! She kept trying to grab the fabric flower inside (made from the Flirtatious Designer Fabric)

Beau Chateau Wedding Card

This is the wedding card I made for my friend Jacylyn. What a beautiful ceremony she had, so intimate and heartfelt. It was such a gorgeous day out, sunny and cool...with mountains in the distance...absolutely beautiful!!

I used the Beau Chateau Designer series paper along with Soft Suede cardstock. The sentiment is from the new set called Petite Pairs. Embellishments include Basic Pearls and Chantilly Crochet trim.

Scrapbooking Kitty!

This past week, I've been working on 2 Heritage Albums for my Gran and Aunt. This was a project my mom started like 5 yrs ago, and I decided to help her finish it while I was at home visiting. So I joined her at work the past 5 days and worked on layout after layout...so far I've done 30...going on 38 when I finish...(probably pulling an all nighter tonight, since I fly back to Calgary tomorrow! LOL) It's nice to be a part of this, knowing that eventually I will get my Gran's copy. So anyways, I was finishing a layout tonight at home, and of course, Sugar had to get her paws into everything! I had to pull out the camera for this, cause she got a pop-up stuck to her nose! It was so cute! Hope you enjoy!!

Wedding Seating Chart - assembled!

Hey bleeps!
I know it's been awhile since I've posted, for those who don't know, I've been visiting my family in Ontario for 3 weeks!!! that's a long time! I go back to Calgary this Thursday!

So you may remember that Wedding Seating chart I made for my friend Jacylyn, who is getting married this Saturday!!! Well, she just sent me a pic of the assembled finished product, and it looks so amazing!! I had to share it!

I made the little name cards using So Saffron and Chocolate Chip cardstocks, as well as Very Vanilla....stamped the leave image from Fabulous Florets set in Tangerine Tango. They are clipped on hemp twine with the new Mini Clothespins!! So cute! The sign also has Tangerine Tango embossed images from Fabulous Florets. These all match the Wedding Invitations I made her awhile back, click HERE to see the invites!

I have a few things to post on here, just finding the time to do it is hard when you're on vacation! I've been working on finishing 2 heritage scrapbooks for my gran and aunt that my mom had started a few years back....so I will post some of the layouts later, even though they aren't SU only...i still want to share them!

Remember that Embroidery frame art piece I made a few weeks ago with the new Timeless Portrait Designer Fabric? Well, I decided to give it to my mom, and it fits absolutely perfectly on her wall at the top of the stairs with her Decor Elements - Tree, Thoughts & Prayers....and....Direction of Your Dreams. You can find those on page 233 of the Idea Book & Catalogue. I just love it so much! I'm going to make some more with other photos, she wanted kind of a 'family tree' type thing on the wall...so pretty!

Here's the third and final card of my Open House Make n'Takes...

We used all 5 of the new In Colours: Base is Wisteria Wonder, pennants are Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, and Lucky Limeade!
We stamped our cute pennants with the Pennant Parade stamp set, then punched them out with the ever-so handy Petite Pennant Punch. Then I punched little holes on each pennant with the 1/16" Handheld punch (a must-have for stringing banners!!) Then we strung them together with the White Baker's Twine. The 'cute' letters are from the Sweet Shoppe alphabet set.

My friend Kirsten's daughter Madeleine (age 4) did such a great job (with a little help from me...) She was so happy to show off her hard work! Such a good little stamper!

Pennant Parade - Christmas Tree card

I had a great afternoon, on Saturday, with a group of ladies and one amazing 4 year old stamper! We had fun doing 3 make n'take cards, all using the new Petite Pennants punch, and Pennant Parade stamp set...I posted the Ice cream cone one a few days ago, check it out if you missed it! One of the other cards was a Christmas Tree one, using the Pennant upside down, and the Stamp Off technique to create some dimension in our 'forest'.

And here's Madeleine and her card she made all by herself! She's so crafty like her mommy!

New Catty Open House....

Thanks to everyone who stopped by my New Catalogue Open House today! Everyone enjoyed making some cards with some new products! Here's just a few photos of my set up. The next 2 days I will post our Make n'Take cards.

Here's the table set up with all the supplies ready to go! I showcased 3 different ways to use the Pennant Punch and stamp set, as well as the new In Colours!

Here's my Catalogue table, with order forms, old catty's to give away, new Catty's and our Make n'Take samples. I also gave a special gift for every order placed that day for a $5 off coupon on next purchase.

And this was me the night before prepping all the supplies for the cards, and of course my parents cat Sugar had to be right in the middle of everything! LOL

Icecream Cone with Pennant and Cupcake Punches!

What I love about the new Pennant Parade stamp set and Punch, is that there are so many options, not just pennants! This is one of my Make n'Takes for my Open House happening this Saturday 2-5pm for all my Ontario customers! I will be going home for 3 weeks! Looking forward to seeing you all!

Gone Roadtrippin'

I'm spending the next 7 days among mountains, lakes, wineries, wildlife, and a great friend's company in the beautiful province of British Colombia!! My best friend Sarah from Ontario, is flying out here this morning and we are leaving early tomorrow for our week long roadtrip!! Can't wait!!!! Our destination is Kelowna, BC in the Okanagan Valley ....from what I hear, it's unbelievably gorgeous! Wineries, mountains, lakes....how could you go wrong! So anyways...back to my layout....I wanted to do a roadtrip themed scrap layout with the new stamp set in the Summer Mini Catalogue called Travel Log This photo was taken of me on top of Whistler's Mountain in Jasper, AB last summer on Sarah and I's roadtrip. We started an annual summer roadtrip, this year is our 3rd!

The colours I used are Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, and Wild Wasabi.

So I will be back in a week! Hope everyone is having an awesome summer! I'll be back with some photos from the roadtrip next weekend....Ciao!

Wedding Reception Seating Chart

I've been busy this week making 180 name cards for my friend Jacylyn's seating chart for her wedding this September. You may remember an older blog post last month of her Wedding Invitations I made for her, if not check out this post to see.... I wanted the colours to match with the invitations so I used Chocolate Chip and So Saffron cardstocks, as well as the Tangerine Tango embossing powder with the Fabulous Florets stamp set.

Her vision for the seating chart is really cute with a rustic feel....We have a wooden backdrop which we will string twine across in rows, then clip the name cards on the twine with the adorable new mini clothespins!!! Everyone will just go up, find their name and table number, grab their card and find their seat! I love it! I will take lots of photos on the day of the wedding to show you the finished product!

It was alot of cutting and gluing! But so happy to be a part of her wedding!!

Embroidery Frame - feat. Timeless Portrait Fabric & Letter It stamp set

When I saw the embroidery frames done up in the new Idea Book & Catalogue (page 78), I knew I had to try it! I've got so many great ideas for these! For this one, I used the Timeless Portrait Designer Fabric for the background. I did some sponging to antique the frame and a bit of the fabric with Soft Suede ink. The letters are from the New alphabet set called Letter It.

The embellishments are an assortment of Designer buttons, ribbons and Vintage adornments.

This is a photo of my brother and his wife on their wedding day....i love it!

Pocket Card - Timeless Portrait Fabric!

I love when Stampin' Up! brings out new Designer Fabrics, they keep getting better and better! The new Timeless Portrait Designer Fabric from the new catty is gorgeous! I used a strip on this card and tied a bow with it. So simple, no sewing required! Just make a little cut for the width you want, then rip! This card is a pocket style one, my first! The insert pulls out and you can write your message on it.

I used the new Pool Party incolour paired with Basic Black, it's a lovely combo!
The circle on the top is the 2 1/2" punch, which I had embossed with the new Stripes Embossing Folder , then I rubbed my Basic Black ink pad on top of the embossed lines. Added some basic rhinestones for some glitz too!

Flirtatious Suite Framed Art...featuring Pennants!

The new Flirtatious Suite product line is so pretty in the new Idea Book & Catalogue...I just adore the 'flirty' lace prints on the Designer paper, stamp set and Designer Fabric! I made this cute framed art for my cousin's baby girl who just turned 1 as a birthday gift.

The new Pennant Parade stamp set and coordinating punch is so much fun to play with! The creativity is endless! To make these little banners, I have one suggestion for a must-have tool....the 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch! It's the perfect size for punching holes to string the pennants together! I used the white Baker's Twine to string them together as well.

Can't wait to give this to her!

Sunny Fun!

It's been so hot here in Calgary the past few days! So it's perfect weather for using my Sunny Fun stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalogue! It was my first time using this adorable set, so I made 3 cards so I could test each stamp! It's so hard to choose a favourite, but I think I like the popsicles...or maybe flip flops...can't decide!

Faux Suede Technique

So this was our technique for July Stamp Club at Allison's. We did Faux Suede. I've show this technique before at one of my classes, but this was a nice refresher. We 'sueded' the ruffled looking strip of Melon Mambo cardstock on the right side. Looks like ribbon doesn't it?

To do this: You'll need a bone folder and a strip of paper. Run your bone folder along the paper a bunch of times as if you are using a paring knife. That's the best way I could describe it. Keep doing this on booth sides til the paper starts to separate into 2. Then peel it apart slowly, and you get this soft suede looking side to the paper! Quick and easy way to add texture to a card.

Fabulous Florets with Stamp Off Technique

We just did this at Stamp Club this past weekend at Allison's...I just love this stamp set and of course we used the new In Colours... Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder! Our technique here was Stamp Off, very simple, yet creates a nice dimension to the card. Just ink your stamp and stamp off the card on a piece of scrap, then on your card for a lighter image in among your darker images. It creates the look of stems and leaves behind the other ones.

Well, I've got alot of catching up to do with all my last 2 months of Stamp Club projects! Been really busy here with Calgary Stampede at work! Here's a few photos of me enjoying some fun time at Stampede this past Sunday!

I'm starting a week long series leading up to the end of the retirement lists! These stamps that I use can be purchased in my Online Store , but hurry before they are gone on June 30th!

Todays featured retiring stamp set is Animal Stories. This set is adorable, and got alot of use for my cousin's baby shower and thank you cards last year. Wedding Photos!

So I'm back! It was a quick, but super busy trip home for my cousin Bethany's wedding. What a fun event! Lots of PINK! The venue was an old theatre in my home town, which has been renovated recently, and was the perfect place to hold a wedding! The stage turned into a dance floor after dinner too! She had a cute photo booth set up, she was also her own photographer! Here's a few photos of the event, I'll be back tomorrow with a new project. Enjoy!

I wanted to showcase off all the beautiful papers from the Flirtatious Specialty Designer Paper collection! I used almost all of them on this card! I love the doilies! Colours include the new Wisteria Wonder In Colour, as well as Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Pretty in Pink.

The doily sheet comes in 2 colours, but I flipped it over to use the white side!

Other uses for Pennant Punch!

When I got my Pennant Parade stamp set in my pre-order, I soon realized how many different uses there are for this set...not just for Pennants!
I adore this idea, which I saw in a photo in the new Idea Book & Catalogue (available to order from July 1st).....turn the pennant stamp upside down and add the top of the Cupcake Punch, and you got a cute little Icecream Cone!!! Isn't that adorable! and so easy!

There is a stamp for a bottom of a Christmas tree....turn the pennant upside down, and you got yourself a cute Christmas card!

So many great uses for this stamp set and punch!!

Pennant Parade & Pennant Punch - Sneak Peek!

This is so exciting! Check out the new Petite Pennants Builder Punch....that's right Pennants in the plural form!! This awesome punch has 2! One scalloped , like I used here, and one straight edged that fits inside the scalloped one. And the coordinating stamp set, Pennant Parade, comes with so many different options for the punch! I'll show 2 other options tomorrow, you won't believe it!

With this card, I stamped the pennants in all 5 of the NEW InColours! Starting from left to right.... Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, and Island Indigo (which is also the card base colour too!) I strung them all together with some Basic White Baker's Twine. The sentiment is from the new Hostess set, and I stamped it in Craft Whisper White, then heat set it with some Clear embossing powder.
